Listen to Business Execution Radio Episode 121
Dr. Janet Polach, President of “In the Lead” consulting discusses research comparing differences across generations vs. differences across people based on career stages. What she found is how old you are is far more important than when you were born. Or to put it another way, the work expectations of people entering the workforce today are largely the same as the expectations you had when you were entering the workforce, but they often seem different because you’re not in that career stage anymore. Dr. Polach emphasizes that what career development stage people are in does matter a lot in terms of work expectations. These expectations correlate with age, but not with the year people were born.
Companies now employ workers in at least four different stages of career development, and what these workers want is much different from one stage to another. Find out why differences associated with career development stages are far more meaningful than generational differences and what you can do to manage them – this week on Business Execution Radio.
Do you have what it takes to lead? Are you sure? Make sure you’ve got what it takes to be a fully effective leader by listening to Dr. Janet Polach – this week on Business Execution Radio.
